Green Goals Conference: Transforming for Tomorrow

The Green Goals Conference continues our collaboration with the central government, aligning with the current strategies to ensure environmental sustainability remains a key focus in the future of sport and physical activity.

This event will provide attendees with the latest updates on policies and agendas that support greener, more sustainable practices within the sector. As climate change increasingly affects participation levels—whether through extreme weather conditions or a lack of resilient facilities—this conference will highlight the urgent need for action.

With the recent launch of Sport England's environmental strategy, "Every Move," and its pledge of £45 million to support the sector in reducing its carbon footprint, this conference is timely and essential.

By bringing together leaders, sports councils, local authorities, delivery partners, and private sector organisations, the conference will act as a driving force for sustainable change. Discussions will focus on the immediate effects of climate change on physical activity across UK towns and cities, emphasising how inactivity—exacerbated by environmental challenges—leads to declining public health.

Through expert-led sessions and case studies, attendees will explore practical solutions, from low-carbon facility design to long-term sustainability strategies.

This conference serves as a vital platform to share the latest strategies, targets, and success stories that reduce carbon emissions and enhance sustainability within sports and leisure. By showcasing best-in-class projects, we aim to inspire action and collaboration, ensuring that environmental responsibility becomes a cornerstone of future investment and development in the sector.

Now is the time for decision-makers to lead the charge and create a more sustainable, active future for all.
