We are delighted that Loughborough College has become CIMSPA’s National Further Education Partner.
As the only Chartered Institute for the sport and physical activity sector, this partnership helps CIMSPA to ensure that the learning and qualifications opportunities for those entering the sector align with employer needs and equip future sector professionals with the skills and knowledge to excel in their careers.
With an excellent sport and physical activity curriculum which is renowned for providing its learners with great employment outcomes, Loughborough College has been working alongside CIMSPA for several years to develop learning provision and employer relationships.
By becoming CIMSPA’s National Further Education Partner, Loughborough College will play an integral role in supporting the development of the sport and physical activity sectors’ FE Partnership Network. This network brings together colleges from across the UK who are aligning their curriculum with employer needs and the sector’s professional standards.
Tara Dillon, CEO of CIMSPA said, “I’m thrilled that Loughborough College has become our National Further Education Partner. I’ve seen first-hand the brilliant work that they do to give their students the best possible start in their sports and physical activity careers.
“The fact that they are now joining us formally as our National Partner presents some great opportunities for us to work together further to support provision and curriculum development across our entire FE network.
“We see great outcomes where colleges are embracing the sector’s professional standards because it means that their courses are aligned with employer needs which makes their students more employable.”
Heather Clarke, Acting Principal and CEO of Loughborough College said, “We are so proud to be named CIMSPA’s National Further Education Partner. This partnership marks a new milestone in our commitment to providing exceptional education and training opportunities in the fields of sport and physical activity.
