UK Youth is the UK’s leading youth work charity with a vision that all young people are equipped to thrive and empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives. UK Youth is focused on unlocking youth work – which is proven to be life-changing and life-saving – as the catalyst of change needed now more than ever.
Everything we do at UK Youth is to ensure our society understands, champions and delivers effective youth work for all young people.
With an open network of more than 9,000 youth organisations and national partners, UK Youth reaches more than four million young people across the UK.
UK Youth is involved in the delivery of a range of programmes which collectively reached more than 120,000 young people last year.
Programmes include outdoor learning, through our Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre in the New Forest, physical literacy, social action, mental health and employability, including our summer jobs scheme, offering paid work experience to young people at risk of violence.

UK Youth is looking to partner with an organisation or consultant who can support the design of the delivery model and curriculum for a groundbreaking Incubator and Accelerator programme.
This initiative will form part of Sport England’s ‘Uniting the Movement’ strategy, which aims to transform lives and communities through sport and physical activity while embedding a shared understanding of physical literacy.
This two-tier programme will tackle the systemic challenges limiting young people’s access to physical literacy and outdoor learning. By supporting youth organisations to develop, test, and scale place-based solutions, the programme will:
Equip youth work and outdoor learning organisations to integrate movement and physical activity into everyday practices.
Foster best practices through co-designed, evidence-based solutions developed with young people and practitioners.
Scale and embed sustainable models across the youth sector, supported by UK Youth’s systems change capabilities and consolidated evidence base.
We are commissioning work to:
Develop participant journeys for participants
Design schemes of work
Convene UK Youth staff, youth workers and young people to co-produce programme elements
Create asset examples which will support UK Youth in delivering the programme
See here for further information, timelines and award criteria.
